Conservative thought leaders from around the world, Charles Krauthammer and Dennis Prager chief among them, will gather in Los Angeles for the second annual PragerU summit, May 5-6, 2017. Unlike traditional conferences or policy meetings, the weekend summit will be a philosophical retreat for PragerU's foremost fans, for a select group of PragerFORCE members, and for patrons. Through lectures and collaborative seminars, summit attendees will learn about core conservative philosophy, public policy, and PragerU's role in the broader global conservative movement.

A hundred people attended the inaugural summit in 2016. This year PragerU has sold out the weekend with over 200 guests attending. "We're delighted to welcome everyone to Los Angeles for our biggest event of the year, and we are heartened by how many of our supporters are making our event a priority," said Marissa Streit, PragerU's CEO. "It is no secret that many of PragerU's most ardent fans and patrons are very busy people - captains of industry and serial philanthropists. It says something that they are taking three days of their time to join us in Southern California for this conservative philosophical retreat."

In addition to prominent supporters and patrons, PragerU has invited distinguished members of PragerFORCE, PragerU's student ambassador program, to attend the summit free of charge. "This is quite a special opportunity for college students. We are committed to providing exceptional experiences for our most active and accomplished PragerFORCE members," said Devon Mirsky, National Director of PragerFORCE. "We know that by bringing these students to our summit, where they can engage in intimate discussion with conservative thought leaders like Dennis Prager, our student ambassadors will be more energized and better equipped to do their critical work on campus." Following the summit, PragerFORCE students will partake in a daylong "boot camp," led by Ms. Mirsky that will further develop their advocacy skills and tap them for ideas on student outreach. PragerFORCE students attending the summit hail from all over the United States and abroad, including one student attendee from Spain.

Mrs. Streit especially looks forward to the presence of such esteemed, passionate, and young fellow conservatives. "There is something special about being in the presence of those who share your values. You can always share ideas electronically, but you can only feel the presence of like-minded individuals in person. That sense of belonging, and of ideological camaraderie, is uniquely enjoyable. I know that most conservatives in this country and around the world, including our fans, seldom get the chance to experience this feeling, and I'm looking forward to sharing it with them.

The keynote address on Friday night will be delivered by Mr. Krauthammer, followed by an on-stage discussion with Dennis Prager. Saturday's schedule includes a lunch keynote by Kimberley Strassel of The Wall Street Journal, Ann McElhinney, Phelim McAleer, Kurt James, John Kruger, and a special Bible study given by Mr. Prager.
